Introduction
At one of the South's most celebrated live-fire culinary gatherings, I served as art director and on-the-ground photographer, leading a four-person crew to capture the smoky, soulful, mouthwatering world of Heritage Fire Charleston.

The crackle of open flame, the char on a plate pulled straight from the fire, the quiet
skill of a chef who has done this a thousand times.
Heritage Fire is a live-fire culinary tour produced by A21 and gathers some of the country's most celebrated chefs to cook over open flame in an outdoor, festival-style setting.
It's artisanal, electric, and deeply rooted in the culinary culture of the South.
I served as art director and one of two photographers on the ground, leading a total four-person creative crew through the full sweep of the festival.
We documented chefs mid-flame, food coming off the fire at its most decadent, and the intimate details that give Heritage Fire its unmistakable soul.
The creative direction was intentional from start to finish, balancing the sweeping energy of the gathering with the quiet, artisanal moments that make this event worth experiencing.
This project holds a special place in my portfolio because it lives at the intersection of two things I love most: destination and culinary culture.
